Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- paprika - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Accent - 1 tsp
- shortening or salad oil - 1 item
- broiler fryer chicken, cut in serving pieces - 1 item
How to make fried chicken:
Combine flour, Accent, salt, paprika and pepper. Roll chicken pieces in seasoned flour. Heat oil, 1/2 inch deep, in skillet. Place chicken, skin side down, in skillet. Put larger meatier pieces in first. Cook, uncovered, 15 to 25 minutes each side, turning once. Drain well on absorbent paper. Makes 4 servings.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Whole chicken.
