Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2/3 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- Crisco for deep frying - 1 item
- large onions - 2 lb
How to make french fried onions:
Cut cleaned onions into 1/4-inch slices. Separate into rings. Dip onion rings in milk and then in seasoned flour.Fry in deep Crisco, heated to 365°. Fry rings, a few at a time, until well browned, about 3 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper.
