French fried onion rings
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- Bermuda onions - 1 item
How to make french fried onion rings:
Slice large onions into medium-thick slices. Soak slices in sweet milk for at least 1 hour. Make batter just before cooking.Batter: Beat eggs first. Add salt, baking powder and milk. Sift flour into mixture and mix well. Drip onion rings in batter. Fry in hot, deep fat until golden brown. Drain and serve.
