Fish chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- slices bacon - 4 item
- can creamed corn - 1 item
- peeled, cubed potatoes - 2 c
- fresh or frozen fish fillets - 1 lb
How to make fish chowder:
Cut fish into 2-inch squares. In a large saucepan, bring 2 cups water to boil. Add potatoes. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in fish, salt and pepper. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook bacon. Drain bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings. Crumble the bacon. Cook onions in drippings until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cook and stir until bubbly. Serves 6.
