Fish chowder
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- small amount of milk - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- strips bacon - 6 item
- diced potatoes - 2 c
- large can creamed corn - 1 item
- fish, cut into 1-inch pieces - 1 lb
How to make fish chowder:
Fry bacon and crumble. Put aside. Place diced potatoes into bacon drippings and cover with water. Cook until done. Add fish chunks and cook additional 5 minutes (until fish flakes). Add corn, butter and salt/pepper to taste. Add bacon and enough milk to get to chowder consistency. Cook until thoroughly heated. Serve hot.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Cod.
