Ham chowder
Ingredients/Components
- diced ham smoked - 2 c
- chopped onions - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- mustard - 1/2 tsp
- garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- water - 2 c
- diced potatoes - 1 c
- frozen peas 10 oz - 1 pkg
- frozen corn 1 to 2 c - 1 pkg
- whole milk, or more - 2 c
- chopped parsley, if desired - 1 Tbsp
How to make ham chowder:
Cook ham. Add butter and cook celery and onions until tender. Add flour and water. Add the potatoes and seasonings; cook until done. Add the frozen peas and corn. Cook only until done. Add milk and heat to serve. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chowders.
