Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
How to make feather dumplings:
Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg, margarine and enough milk to make moist, stiff batter. Drop by teaspoon or roll out and cut into strips and drop into boiling broth. Cover and cook for 18 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, American, Northeastern U.S..
