Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 6 to
  • egg - 1 item
  • warm water - 2 c
  • Crisco oil - 1/4 c
  • yeast - 2 pkg

How to make elephant ears:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add other ingredients and mix well. Store in refrigerator. Flatten out with hand to the size of a pancake and fry in deep fat until golden brown. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar or powdered sugar.
