  • sugar - 6 8
  • flour - 4 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • warm water - 1 c
  • yeast - 1 pkg

How to make elephant ears:

Soften and dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Divide dough into 12 pieces. Let set for 20 minutes. Roll out on lightly floured board. Stack with wax paper between each.

Heat oil in heavy skillet. Drop dough, one at a time, into hot grease, after it has been stretched out to a large circle. Turn with spatula and knife. Drain on paper toweling. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
