Easy sweet and sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- egg - 1 item
- diced onion - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- hamburger meat - 2 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- bottles chili sauce - 2 item
- jars apple jelly - 2 item
How to make easy sweet and sour meatballs:
Combine meat, crumbs, onion, egg, salt and pepper. Mix well. Shape into meatballs and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. In a crock-pot, combine apple jelly and chili sauce. Add meatballs. Cook at a simmer for 1 hour or so.Variation: Paula Ray uses 1 pound of ground round, add 1/4 cup milk, 1 tablespoon parsley and 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce and substitutes grape jelly.
