Earthquake cake
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- shredded coconut - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- pecan pieces - 1 c
- German chocolate cake mix - 1 pkg
How to make earthquake cake:
Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan. Spread coconut, pecans and chocolate chips in bottom of pan. Prepare cake mix according to directions on package. Pour batter over coconut, nuts and chips. Mix the oleo, cream cheese and powdered sugar. Drop mixture on top of batter by teaspoonfuls. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cake will be shaky but will set up as it cools. It looks like it has been in an earthquake, thus the name. But do not bake longer than the recipe calls for.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Breads.
