- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/3 1/2
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- self-rising flour - 2 c
How to make dumplings:
Beat egg until smooth; add milk and melted shortening. Pour this into the flour and sugar and mix a very soft dough. Drop by spoonfuls into chicken, turkey or beef broth.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Pasta, rice and grains.
