Doughnut muffins
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- plain flour
- soft shortening - 1/3 c
- stick melted butter - 1 item
How to make doughnut muffins:
Cream first 2 ingredients. Add egg and beat well. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add alternately with milk to egg mixture. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove at once and roll in melted butter, then in brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
