Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- soft shortening - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- flour, sifted
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- brown sugar
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
How to make streusel coffee cake:
Streusel Mixture:1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 Tbsp. margarine, melted1/2 c. chopped nuts1 tsp. cinnamon Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan. Mix sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in milk. Sift dry ingredients. Add to batter. Stir to blend. Spread half in pan. Sprinkle with half of Streusel Mixture. Top with rest of batter, then rest of Streusel Mixture.
