French breakfast puffs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- butter, melted - 5 tsp
- soft shortening - 1/3 c
How to make french breakfast puffs:
Heat oven to 350°. Mix shortening, sugar, egg, flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in alternately with milk. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 20 minutes. Immediately roll in butter, 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.Recipe categories: Breads, Lunch/snacks, Breakfast.
