Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/3 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- scalded milk - 3/4 c
- cooked, mashed potatoes - 1/2 c
How to make yeast rolls:
Put sugar, Crisco and salt into bowl. Add warm mashed potatoes and mix. Add egg to warm milk. Mix together. Add yeast 1 pint flour. Gradually add to mixture. Beat well as you mix. Add enough flour to knead. Let rise until double in bulk. Mash down and place in refrigerator until needed. Bake at 450° for about 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Low cholesterol, Low fat.
