- boiling water - 6 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- pickling salt
- liquid from beans - 1 c
- market beans - 1 lb
- dill and garlic clove - 1 item
How to make dilled beans:
Wash, string and drain beans; place in large kettle with boiling water and 1 1/2 teaspoons pickling salt. Boil 20 minutes. Drain. Save 1 cup liquid. Combine vinegar, bean liquid and 2 teaspoons pickling salt in kettle. Bring to a boil. Pack beans and a pinch of dill and garlic in hot jars; fill with hot vinegar mixture and seal.
