Ingredients/Components
- water - 3 qt
- vinegar - 6 c
- clove garlic - 1 item
- alum - 1/4 tsp
- hot pepper optional - 1 item
- early cukes spears wash stuff in jars - 1 item
- head fresh dill in bottom - 1 item
- coarse pickling salt - 1/3 c
How to make dill pickles:
Put dill in bottom, then spears. Make brine of vinegar, water and salt. Boil with dill. Top with lid; pack. Let stand for 6 weeks. Shake every little while.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Appetizers, Condiments, etc..
