Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 c
- water - 2 qt
- vinegar - 1 qt
- cucumbers - 1 item
- hot peppers - 1 item
- dill leaves - 1 item
- garlic buttons - 1 item
- dill stalks - 1 item
- dill blooms - 1 item
How to make dill pickles:
Use quart jars.Wash the cucumbers and snip the ends. Place dill leaves, 1 garlic button and 1 hot pepper in the bottom of each jar. Pack the cucumbers in the jar. Place dill stalks in 3 sides of each jar. Add 1 garlic button and 1 hot pepper, place dill blooms on top of each jar. Bring the vinegar and water and salt to rolling boil. Pour over the contents of each jar. Seal and wait about 6 weeks to eat.
