Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1/2 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • catsup - 2 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • tomato juice - 1 c
  • ground chuck beef - 5 lb
  • medium sized onions - 2 item

How to make barbecue sandwiches:

Brown ground chuck in pan. Add onions, celery, green pepper, sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce, then add tomato juice and catsup.

Cook together for approximately 1 hour. If it is quite thin, leave the lid off for awhile and then sprinkle a couple of tablespoons oatmeal on top. Cook until thick.
