Ingredients/Components

  • oil - 1 c
  • garlic powder - 1/2 Tbsp
  • bread crumbs - 4 c
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • clams
  • dry parsley - 1/2 c
  • dry onion - 1/2 c
  • stalk celery with leaves - 1 item
  • clam broth

How to make deviled clams:

Saute dry ingredients in oil until golden brown. Put celery, clams and broth in blender. Chop well. Mix in bowl with sauteed mixture. Let stand for a few minutes. Stuff into oiled clam shells. (Shells can be washed and reused.) Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350° until golden and bubbly. Makes approximately 5 to 6 dozen. Serve with lemon slices.

A 3 pound can of clams from Sam's or Costo works well.
