Deviled clams
Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1 c
- garlic powder - 1/2 Tbsp
- bread crumbs - 4 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- clams
- dry parsley - 1/2 c
- dry onion - 1/2 c
- stalk celery with leaves - 1 item
- clam broth
How to make deviled clams:
Saute dry ingredients in oil until golden brown. Put celery, clams and broth in blender. Chop well. Mix in bowl with sauteed mixture. Let stand for a few minutes. Stuff into oiled clam shells. (Shells can be washed and reused.) Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350° until golden and bubbly. Makes approximately 5 to 6 dozen. Serve with lemon slices.A 3 pound can of clams from Sam's or Costo works well.
