Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan - 1/4 c
- dried basil - 1/2 tsp
- dried marjoram - 1/4 tsp
- fennel seed - 1/2 tsp
- bulk pork sausage - 10 oz
- Topping:2 eggs
- Mozzarella, thinly sliced or shredded - 8 oz
How to make upside-down popover pizza:
Topping:2 eggs1 c. milk1 Tbsp. oil1 c. flour1/4 c. grated Parmesan1/4 tsp. salt Brown sausage and onion. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, green pepper, flour and spices. Bring to a boil. Boil and stir 1 minute. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Arrange cheese slices on top.Prepare topping by beating eggs, milk, oil, flour and salt together. Pour over cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
