Delmonico potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt
- butter - 1 item
- whipped cream - 1/2 pt
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
- to 9 red potatoes - 8 item
- to 4 dashes nutmeg - 3 item
How to make delmonico potatoes:
Boil potatoes. Chill and peel them. In a 13 x 9-inch pan, grate potatoes.Heat in separate saucepan, Cheddar cheese, milk, whipped cream, dry mustard, salt and nutmeg. Pour mixture over potatoes. Dot with butter and paprika. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
Let stand at room temperature for 1 1/2 hours. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325°.
