  • butter - 1/4 c
  • chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can tomato juice - 1 oz
  • milk - 2 c

How to make creamy tomato soup:

Combine butter and onion in 2-quart glass casserole. Microwave on High for 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Add flour, sugar, salt and pepper; mix well. Stir in tomato juice gradually. Microwave on High for 4 minutes or until heated through, stirring once. Stir in milk gradually. Microwave on Medium-high for 8 to 10 minutes or just to the simmering point, stirring every 2 minutes. Ladle into soup bowls. Garnish with croutons or oysters crackers.
