Ingredients/Components

  • melted butter - 1/2 c
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • dry white wine - 1/2 c
  • slices Swiss cheese - 8 item
  • whole chicken breasts, boned and split - 4 item
  • seasoned stuffing mix, crushed Pepperidge Farms - 2 c

How to make creamy baked chicken:

Sprinkle some stuffing mix on bottom of Pyrex baking dish. Sprinkle with water. Arrange breasts on top of mix; place piece of cheese on each breast. Stir together soup and wine. Pour over chicken. Mix stuffing with butter and spread over top. Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 hour.

Note: Cream of celery or mushroom soup may be used in place of cream of chicken soup. You can add fresh mushrooms over the breast, then cheese, then use mushroom soup.
