  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • half and half - 1 c
  • butter - 1 oz
  • onion, chopped - 1 Tbsp
  • diced tomatoes - 16 oz
  • pinch of baking soda - 1 item
  • pureed tomatoes - 16 oz
  • Swanson chicken broth, undiluted - 9 oz
  • non dairy cream - 1 c

How to make cream of tomato soup:

Mix together tomatoes, chicken broth, butter, sugar, onion and baking soda. Simmer 1 hour. Heat cream and half and half in double boiler. Add to hot tomato mixture.
