Cream of tomato soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- half and half - 1 c
- butter - 1 oz
- onion, chopped - 1 Tbsp
- diced tomatoes - 16 oz
- pinch of baking soda - 1 item
- pureed tomatoes - 16 oz
- Swanson chicken broth, undiluted - 9 oz
- non dairy cream - 1 c
How to make cream of tomato soup:
Mix together tomatoes, chicken broth, butter, sugar, onion and baking soda. Simmer 1 hour. Heat cream and half and half in double boiler. Add to hot tomato mixture.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Tomato, Bisques/cream soups.
