Ingredients/Components

- stick margarine - 3/4 item
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium chopped onion - 1 item
- cans cream of mushroom soup - 2 item
- cream cheese, cubed - 1 (8
- to 7 potatoes, peeled and diced - 6 item
How to make cream of potato soup:
In large saucepan, cook diced potatoes and onion until tender (soupy) in just enough water to cover. Add cubes of cream cheese to potato and onion. Remove from heat. Stir until cream cheese is melted. To potato mixture, add remaining ingredients.Variation: Fry bacon or sausage and crumble in soup. Top with cheese, if desired.
