Cream of chicken soup
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 3 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- chopped chives - 1 item
- shredded, cooked chicken - 1/2 c
- milk or light cream - 1 c
How to make cream of chicken soup:
Melt butter in top of double boiler over direct heat, then stir in flour. Add chicken broth and milk and cook over boiling water while stirring, until smooth and thickened. Add chicken and stir until blended. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve in soup bowls topped with a garnish of chopped chives.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Poultry, Bisques/cream soups.
