Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2/3 c
- butter or margarine - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chicken broth
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- celery - 1 item
- onions - 1 item
- pastry for 2 crusts
- cooked chicken, torn up - 2 c
How to make chicken pie:
Cook chicken with onions, celery, salt and pepper. Melt butter or margarine in a pan. Add flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; stir and bring to a boil. Add chicken broth and milk; cook slowly until thickened. Add torn up chicken. Line pie plate with pastry. Pour chicken mixture into pan. Add top crust.
