  • milk - 2 c
  • butter or oleo - 1/4 c
  • medium onion - 1 item
  • stalks celery - 2 item
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • bunch broccoli - 1 item
  • large can chicken broth - 1 oz

How to make cream of broccoli soup:

Chop broccoli in small pieces. Frozen broccoli may be used. Add broccoli to chicken broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer. Chop onion and celery fine and saute in 1/4 cup butter until soft. Add to broth. Do not boil. Thicken with flour and water. Cubes of Velveeta may be added during last phase of cooking.
