Cranberry bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- sifted all-purpose flour - 2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- grated orange rind - 1 Tbsp
- cut cranberries - 1 c
How to make cranberry bread:
Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg, butter, orange juice and water. Mix until dry ingredients are moistened. Fold in nuts, cranberries and orange rind; pour into greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 325° about 1 hour and 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
