Country sausage gravy
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 6 Tbsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- dash of hot pepper sauce - 1 item
- dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- sage flavored bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
How to make country sausage gravy:
Crumble sausage into a large frypan. Cook over medium heat. Add onion. Cook and stir until transparent. Drain; discard all but 2 tablespoons drippings. Stir in flour. Cook over medium heat about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns brown. Stir in milk. Add seasonings. Cook, stirring until thickened. Delicious over biscuits.In memory of Clifford.
