Cornbread dressing
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- butter - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chicken broth
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- corn meal - 1 c
- sweet milk - 2/3 c
How to make cornbread dressing:
Heat oven to 425°. Grease and heat in oven a small No. 5 skillet. Break 1 egg in bowl; beat with fork until frothy. Add corn meal and sweet milk. Bake for 25 minutes, crumble when cool. Brown lightly chopped onions and celery in butter. Add crumbled cornbread, 2 eggs (beaten) and pepper. Moisten with 1 1/4 cups chicken broth.
