Cornbread dressing
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- sage - 2 Tbsp
- chicken broth more if needed - 2 4
- cornbread, broken in pieces - 4 c
- dry bread, broken - 2 c
- butter with 1 c - 1 large
- to 4 boiled chopped eggs - 3 item
How to make cornbread dressing:
Mix crumbs and seasonings. Add celery and onion. Add beaten eggs with broth and mix well. Add chopped boiled eggs (more seasoning if desired). Place in 13 x 9-inch pan sprayed lightly. Bake at 400° for 45 minutes to 1 hour until set. (Mixture needs to be moist before baking.)Recipe categories: Christmas, Side dish, Stuffings Dressings.
