Corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- medium onion - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 oz
- slices bacon - 5 item
How to make corn chowder:
In large saucepan, cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon, crumble and set aside. Reserve 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings in saucepan; discard remainder. Add onion slices; cook until lightly browned. Add diced potatoes and water. Cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Add corn, milk, salt and pepper. Pour into bowls.
