Ingredients/Components

  • self-rising flour - 4 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • onion salt - 1/4 tsp
  • medium onion, finely chopped - 1 item
  • seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
  • poultry seasoning - 1/3 tsp
  • cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • seafood seasoning - 1 tsp
  • lemon pepper seasoning - 1/3 tsp
  • green pepper, finely chopped - 1 item
  • garlic powder to taste - 1 item
  • conch, tenderized and cut into small squares - 2 lb

How to make conch fritters:

Combine flour and dry ingredients. Add a little water at a time to batter consistency. Add conch, green pepper and onion; mix well. Spoon batter into skillet of hot oil over medium heat to form small balls the size of hush puppies. Turn occasionally until golden brown. Drain and serve.
