Cold oven pound cake



  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco shortening - 1/2 c
  • clear Karo syrup - 2 Tbsp
  • Add eggs, one at a time
  • clear vanilla - 1 tsp

How to make cold oven pound cake:

Mix together the sugar, margarine and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time. Gradually add flour; mix in milk and vanilla. Beat for about 10 minutes. Pour into greased cake pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour, then at 350° for 30 minutes. Do not preheat oven.Buttercream Icing:1 stick margarine1/2 c. shortening1 tsp. clear vanilla1 lb. powdered sugar2 Tbsp. milk2 Tbsp. clear Karo syrup Mix together the margarine, shortening and vanilla. Add the powdered sugar. Mix in the milk and Karo syrup until creamy.
