- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- lemon extract - 2 tsp
- Add eggs, one at a time
How to make lemon pound cake:
Cream margarine and shortening with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add extract. Bake in a large tube pan at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Glaze.Glaze:1/3 c. milk1/4Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
