Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- margarine, softened - 1 c
- can coconut - 1 oz
- coconut flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream margarine, shortening and sugar in mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs. Add remaining ingredients in order listed, mixing well after each addition. Pour into greased 10-inch tube or Bundt pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Yields 16 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
