Coconut pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening
- can coconut - 7 oz
- coconut flavoring - 2 tsp
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs on high for 10 minutes. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Beat well. Add flavoring and coconut and mix well. Pour in greased Bundt pan and place in cold oven at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes.Use your favorite white icing and sprinkle with coconut.
You can use a long oblong pan.
