Cinnamon candy
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- white Karo syrup
- water - 1 c
- red food coloring - 1 tsp
- cinnamon oil - 3 tsp
- 10x sugar
How to make cinnamon candy:
Cook all ingredients except oil and food coloring to 300° on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add oil and food coloring, stirring well. Pour into a baking sheet covered in 10x sugar. Sprinkle top with sugar also. As soon as it begins to harden a little, begin lifting at the corner. Cut into bite size pieces with cooking shears or let cool completely and break apart with handle end of a butter knife. Toss in more powdered sugar.
