Chutney cheese ball
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- chutney - 1/4 c
- Cover and chill at least 1 hour
How to make chutney cheese ball:
Combine the first 3 ingredients; mix well. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. Shape cheese mixture into a ball; roll in chopped nuts. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Yields one 5-inch ball.Serving Suggestions: Serve with crackers or corn chips.Note - I also shape this cheese ball in other shapes: Christmas Tree: Press on fresh parsley. Use cranberries for ornaments.
Bell: Roll in nuts and use a cherry for the clanger.
Two Holly Leaves: Sprinkle with parsley and use salad tomatoes for berries.
Pumpkin: Dust with paprika, etc.
Press the nuts or coating on and chill several hours.
