Chunky potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 3 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- pepper - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- medium onion - 1 item
- medium red potatoes - 3 item
- cubed cooked ham - 1 c
How to make chunky potato soup:
Peel potatoes and cut into 1-inch cubes. Bring water to a boil in large saucepan. Add potatoes and cook until tender. Drain, reserving liquid. Set aside potatoes. Measure 1 cup reserved liquid, adding water if necessary; set aside. Peel and finely chop onion. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add onion. Cook until saut?Šed. Add flour; season with pepper. Gradually add potatoes, reserved 1 cup liquid, milk and sugar. Stir well. Add cheese and ham. Simmer 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Potato, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
