Chow mein
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch
- water - 1/4 c
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- bean sprouts - 1/2 lb
- sliced celery - 3/4 c
- sliced onions - 3/4 c
- pork - 1/2 lb
How to make chow mein:
Cook celery and onions in 2 tablespoons hot oil for 5 minutes. Add salt, bean sprouts and cook, covered, 5 minutes. Place on platter. Fry pork in remaining oil until cooked.Gravy: Mix cornstarch, soy sauce, sugar and water. Pour over meat, stir until cooked.
