Chop suey
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- onion, diced - 2 c
- celery, diced - 1 c
- cooked rice - 1 item
- Chinese noodles - 1 item
- round steak, diced - 1 lb
- beaded molasses - 2 Tbsp
How to make chop suey:
Brown steak in shortening. Add celery, onion, soy sauce, molasses and water. Cook 45 minutes. Stir in soup, flour, salt and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Serve on rice; top with noodles. Yields 10 servings.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Time to make, Main dish.
