Ingredients/Components
- soy sauce - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- fat - 2 Tbsp
- small can mushrooms - 1 item
- celery
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- onions - 3/4 c
- cooked pork or chicken - 3/4 c
How to make chop suey:
Cut celery in 1-inch pieces. Slice onions 1/4-inch thick; cut chicken in 1-inch bites. Cook celery, onion, seasonings, fat and meat covered over low flame for 1 hour. Add soy sauce, mushrooms and bean sprouts. Serve with rice. For Chow Mein, serve on crisp Chinese noodles. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Time to make, Main dish.
