  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • nuts - 1 c
  • unsweetened chocolate - 2 sq
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • Add eggs, one at a time
  • little milk as needed - 1 item

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream real well the margarine, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Measure, then sift flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa. Sift all 2 times, then add milk, vanilla and nuts. Bake in tube pan at 325° for 90 minutes.Icing:1 box powdered sugar2 Tbsp. margarine2 sq. unsweetened chocolate little milk (as needed) Melt margarine and chocolate squares; stir. Add a little milk at a time, stirring constantly. Spread over cake.
