Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 2/3 c
- heavy cream - 1/2 1
- margarine - 1/3 c
- pecans
- egg yolk - 1 item
- dark syrup - 1/4 c
How to make pecan tart:
Filling:2 c. pecans2/3 c. brown sugar1/4 c. margarine1/4 c. dark syrup1/2 to 1 c. heavy cream Shell: Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add yolk; beat well. Add flour and blend. Will be crumbly. Preheat oven to 375°. Press in a 9-inch pan; bake at 375° for 12 minutes and cool.Filling: Spread nuts on cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 5 minutes and cool. In a 2-quart pan, stir constantly over medium heat for 1 minute, the sugar, butter, corn syrup and 2 tablespoons heavy cream. Spread pecans over crust and pour filling over nuts. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Beat remaining whipping cream and serve over tart.
Can use walnuts.
