  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • stick margarine - 1/2 item
  • cold water - 5 Tbsp
  • cocoa - 3/4 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • box 4x sugar - 1 item
  • Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Sift flour, baking powder and salt 2 or 3 times. Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour and cocoa with milk. Add vanilla and cream until smooth. Bake at 350° for about 1 hour.Chocolate Frosting:2 doz. marshmallows1 box 4x sugar1/2 stick margarine5 Tbsp. cold water1/2 c. cocoa Put water, oleo, cocoa and marshmallows into top of double boiler. Let melt. Beat in sugar and frost cake.
