Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- cold water - 5 Tbsp
- cocoa - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- box 4x sugar - 1 item
- Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt 2 or 3 times. Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour and cocoa with milk. Add vanilla and cream until smooth. Bake at 350° for about 1 hour.Chocolate Frosting:2 doz. marshmallows1 box 4x sugar1/2 stick margarine5 Tbsp. cold water1/2 c. cocoa Put water, oleo, cocoa and marshmallows into top of double boiler.
