Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- cocoa - 5 Tbsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pie shells - 2 item
- large can evaporated milk - 1 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- Meringue: egg whites
How to make chocolate pie:
Meringue: egg whites1/4 c. sugar Mix all dry ingredients together. In separate bowl, separate yolks and whites of eggs. Stir in all other pie ingredients; pour into a baked pie shell. Bake at 325° for 45 to 60 minutes.Meringue: Beat egg whites and 1/4 cup sugar until stiff. Pour over top of pie when pie has finished cooking. Brown top of pie.
